Lakewood school information. There are plenty of schools in Lakewood, but it pays to do some research before you choose one to send your kids to. Greatschools.net rates schools from 1-10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. Out of 26 public elementary schools only 1, Dennison rated a 10. Five schools scored an 8 or 9, with an academic rating of high and 3 who scored a 7 were also given a rating of High. 10 rated Average with scores ranging from 3-7. 7 rated Low or Unsatisfactory. Of the 10 middle schools, Manning Options and Bear Creek rated Excellent. Two were High, 2 were Average, 2 were Low or Unsatisfactory and 2 were not rated. Of the 12 high schools, 5 were not rated. Lakewood, Green Mountain and Bear Creek rated a High and the other four who had ratings were given a Low. There is a wide variability in the Lakewood school system, so choose carefully.
Places to eat. There are several noteworthy local restaurants to visit in Lakewood Colorado. Casa Bonita is a surefire kid pleaser. The exciting live shows will entertain the entire family. We have to tell you the food is not the greatest, but the show more than makes up for it. White Fence Farm is another charming dining establishment in Lakewood. It boasts family style dinners at reasonable prices, and you’ll enjoy the “country in the city” rural grounds and old-timey gift shops.
